Caterpillar Dealer, Western States Equipment, signed to upgrade their current NAXT, Dynamics AX2012 dealer management solution to NAXT365, a fully integrated Dealer Management Solution on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Azure Cloud Platform

MIAMI, Florida (July 28th, 2021) Western States CAT, authorized Caterpillar Dealer for Idaho, Eastern Washington, Oregon, Western Montana, and parts of Wyoming, signed to upgrade their current NAXT 2012 solution to NAXT365, a fully integrated Dealer Management Solution on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.

Western States Equipment Company has a long legacy for providing quality equipment and excellent service to customers. Their roots began in the 1930s as Western Equipment, selling machinery, tools, and general supplies to contractors in the Northwest and Intermountain regions. What began as four-service branches has grown into a much larger, award-winning organization. The company has over 70-years of experience serving logging, mining, and construction industries and now covers an area of over 191,000 square miles with 12 general line and truck engine branches and 13 CAT Rental Stores.

“As our business continues to grow, we must ensure our technology grows with us to meet the needs of our business and our clients. WSE can’t continue our innovation journey if we standstill. Therefore, we must make every effort to find ways to improve through digital transformation, becoming more efficient, achieve more with less, enable cost reductions, and increase our operating profit. We believe NAXT365 will improve our platform performance by moving our on-premises infrastructure, maintenance, and security to the cloud. We are excited for our partnership on our D365 upgrade and looking forward to working with the XAPT team.”

– KELLY OLSON, PRESIDENT / WESTERN STATES EQUIPMENT

NAXT integrates all departments on one platform providing real-time data on all aspects of the business, including Finance, Parts, Sales, Rental, Service, Power Systems, Purchasing, Supply Chain, HR, and Customer Portal. While improving and optimizing their business processes, high availability, and disaster recovery, Western States will also be able to enhance their user interfaces and user experiences to increase employee productivity and satisfy their business needs for today and into the future. Upgrading to NAXT365 in the cloud will allow them to access the latest product capabilities, performance improvements, and a better support experience.

“Western States Equipment is known for achieving the Caterpillar’s Gold Level Dealer Excellence Award multiple times, and they are well aware that a successful long-term path involves continuous improvement. To successfully develop business growth and improvement through digital transformation, they decided to upgrade their current AX2012 NAXT solution to NAXT365 in the cloud. The XAPT team is excited to collaborate with the Western States Equipment team to support their innovation journey and continue to grow our partnership as Western States Equipment will be our first dealer to upgrade to the cloud.”
